Collection: ASTORIA

Zangar's ASTORIA is a collection of handcrafted jewelry and metal objects, looking at the banal and versatile image of everyday life in a city. The common element of design in this series is borrowed from the New York Connecting Railroad viaduct, overpassing many situations and ending in a landmark bridge in Queens, NY. The first prototypes, in the fashion of architectural models, were laser cut out of a sheet of balsa wood. Cast in sterling silver and gold, finished with enamel and patina, collection ASTORIA is where Zangar frames ancient mythology in the accessories of contemporary urban hustlers.
