A handmade piece bearing an intricate glume, the Simia ring is alluring on its own, yet its curves are perfect for stacking. Simia, the most delicate of Zangar's Orchidaceae, was the initial inspiration for the entire collection. The design process began by raising a precious metal sheet into a shell and then pulling it from the sides into a wire. Through anticlastic sinking—a technique where the metal is shaped into opposite curves—this ring took shape. The fabrication process feels like the reverse of growing out of a stem, bringing the beauty of nature into an elegant piece of jewelry.
