SINESIS Bangle

Handmade sterling silver bangle, SINESIS by zangar started as a piece of fruit skin, grown in CA, peeled in NY. It was twisted to a shell and left to dry into a nice form saved in a mould. Then, cast in silver, each piece goes through rounds of forging to become an object of adornment for a human wrist.

Wear Zangar's SINESIS hammered and matte, with a texture that mimics the original, magnified by the tip of a hammer, or milled for strong facets with a slight shine to compliment them. Either way, bits of the original texture is always kept untouched and what is wrought never looks the same twice by the flaw and virtue of the human hand. 

Citrus × sinensis, commonly known in English as orange is a family of plants with popular fruits among humans and other apes that find them. This piece is dedicated to its sweet universal familiarity. The rind of one instance, inspired and became the first of collection CITRUS by Zangar.
